BlueGriffon

BlueGriffon is a new WYSIWYG content editor for the World Wide Web. BlueGriffon is an intuitive application that provides Web authors (beginners or more advanced) with a simple User Interface allows creating attractive Web sites without requiring extensive technical knowledge about Web Standards. Because Gecko lives inside BlueGriffon, the document you edit will look exactly the same in Firefox. Advanced users can always use the Source View to hard-code their page.

Even if you did not create a Web page using BlueGriffon and you used other formats, BlueGriffon can deal with it, providing you with intuitive User Interface to modify your data.

BlueGriffon has its own CSS parser, JSCSSP. That parser written in JavaScript and the CSS styles you author are understandable by all the browsers on the market. If a given CSS property or CSS value, even currently prefixed like -moz-transform, has a direct equivalent for one of the other browsers, BlueGriffon will output it. BlueGriffon includes the SVG editor SVG Edit and you can then draw vector graphics from within BlueGriffon to embed them into your documents.

PageBreeze

Even in the world of instant blogs and MySpace pages, the ability to create a basic Web page from scratch remains important. PageBreeze Free HTML Editor provides a basic set of tools for this task, allowing page designers to work in visual (WYSIWYG) or hands-on HTML tagging mode. It's simple to use, installing quickly and easily, with an interface that will be fairly easy to understand for anyone who has spent much time with Microsoft Word and Internet Explorer. Every Web page you create can be viewed in several ways, showing off the basic code you've written, displaying all the HTML tags you've included, or previewing the way the site will actually look online. The program does lack advanced options such as JavaScript, which would produce effects for links and buttons and help expand page-layout options. Another critical gap is the lack of an editor that would mark mistakes in an HTML page--a bit like a spelling checker in Word. With these caveats, PageBreeze is a capable choice for creating basic Web pages.
